Peace

You can take my money

And I'll take solitude.

Take my curtains and drapes

In exchange for the peace sitting by the lake.

Because my heart has outgrown this room

And I need the sun to survive.

My bed no longer serves me a purpose, as I drown in my tears

These four walls have held up as long as it could.

My heart quivers at the mistakes I have made

And my feet patter to the water.

An oasis in the middle of chaos

And I desire to be with you

So, until my heart is in the right place, you can take it all

In exchange for what I long for.

If these walls could speak, what would they have of me?
