Welcome to Ray’s Roux, a place where I share different parts of myself, hoping to encourage and inspire you through my posts and poems.

Before I begin, let me start by saying this, THANK YOU JESUS, this could not, would not be possible without him, and throughout my different posts, I will tell you why. But, lets start off with the basics, why did I start a blog, and why did I name it “Ray’s Roux”.

I have always been one to write, more specifically, journal. I have books from when I was about twelve sharing my feelings, and writing in my journal because I didn’t have anyone to trust with those feelings yet, but God. Last fall (2021) I was going through a lot, which turned me into writing again, and which I also found myself reading those old journals from when I was twelve, and it had me in a pool of tears. As a child, my feelings were so big, and what I loved so much about myself then was that I never saw me being misunderstood as an issue that I needed to fit in, but a sign that I was down a path that not everyone was going to understand, but later on admire.

I began to read over these journals and poems that I have written years ago and God put it on my heart to create a blog. He gave me a word, and a scripture, “ Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." (Habakkuk 2:23)”. A vision that came into fruition promptly, he just needed a yes from me, and here I am now.

My goal is to encourage you spiritually, mentally, and physically while making you laugh and maybe cry depending on my poems LoL.
