Renewal

Hey, it's been a minute since I have been on here, I've been feeling better than ever honestly, Praise God.

Being human comes with a long string of emotions, history, and character, some of us were born into things that were beyond our control, and some of us were born into things that consistently tries to bring us down, but being renewed by the Holy Spirit once you invite him into your heart cuts that long string that once connected us to the things that we were bound to knowingly or unknowingly, and this allows his love to make us white as snow if you are willing. (Isaiah 1:18-19).

I always knew that God was there with me, but once it became known, once I chose personally to accept him into my heart and to give him my life, I experienced something I could never imagine, that I didn't fully understand, a renewal. The definition of renewal from the bible app means “changing into something new and different, something better”. Detaching from our former desires and ways is definitely a process, and sometimes it takes fasting and praying, it also takes deliverance from certain sins that could be rooted in you from generations before, but the most important thing is that you have to be willing to fully come out of it (Matthew 12:43-45). For my own experience, The Lord has delivered me from sins that I truly thought I would never come out of, that I thought I would struggle with forever. Being delivered from things such as lust, compromising, fear, people-pleasing, perfectionism has been very rewarding given how entangled I was. While being in the world, these things are glorified, so there isn't any wrong to them, but once Lord wraps his love around you so greatly, so softly, you never want to leave, so you allow him to renew you. Romans 12:2 says: do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by a renewal of your mind. As my desire for The Lord continued to  grow, I prayed for him to change my desires, Things that I was so used to doing, people that I was afraid of offending, and boundaries that I was afraid of building, with prayer and fasting, the desire just left me. Literally one day I just stopped caring about what people may think, or I stopped caring about always being in the mix, this was truly an act of God because I know how much I always wanted to be known or seen.

God will save his children out of bondage, he will help us in our weakness (Romans 8:26), our job is to not be like a dog going back to its own vomit (Proverbs 26:11), and I'm one to know, just as the righteous man falls down seven times, he will get back up again (Proverbs 24:16). I share these bible verses because they genuinely helped me, and studying them for oneself will allow The Lord to speak to you regarding your own struggles that God is calling you out of, he is a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).  I also looked up the definition of renewal through Google and the definition was: the replacing or repair of something that is worn out, run-down, or broken. No matter how broken, or bound you are to something, there is always light that drives out the darkness. No matter how worn down you may be in the midst of your situation, or life, The Lord wants to fight for you, he wants for you to surrender everything you are feeling to him, give it all, and allow him to pour his love, security, peace, compassion all over you. He will keep you safe my brother/sister, he will save you from the snares of the enemy, He will allow you to see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living, you just have to surrender to him. Allow your heart to receive The Renewal.
